Q: What is the difference between the “Competitive” and the “Fun” events?
A: It's all in the timing; participants in the Competitive event will be issued a bib number that will signify the Competitive event. These participants will have their finishing time posted and be eligible for awards. Participants in the "Fun" event will cover the same course as the "Competitive" participants, but their finishing time will not be posted and they will not be eligible for awards.
Q: If I sign up for the Fun events will I still be eligible for a Raffle Prize?
A: Yes. All participants age 20 and over are eligible for raffle prizes; in fact, you do not even have to enter to be eligible for a Raffle Prize. So, the more raffle tickets you buy, the better your chances of being a raffle winner!
Q. Do I get anything for participating?
A. Every participant who registers prior to the t-shirt deadline is guaranteed a Quail Creek Run T-shirt. T-Shirt supplies will be limited for those who register after the t-shirt deadline or on race day. Each participant also receives a raffle ticket and a goodie bag; each dog receives a special kerchief.
Q. Where is the race going to be held?
A. The racecourse for the 5k events will be along the “loop”, starting and finishing opposite the entrance to the Madera Clubhouse. The 5k course, which is a USATF certified course has been described as “fast, flat and with wonderful views of the
Q. How far is a 5K?
A. The distance is equivalent to 3.1 miles. The 2K Dog Walk is a little less than 1.5 miles.
Q. What are we running/walking for?
A. 100% of the money raised goes to The Animal League of Green Valley.
Q. I can bring my dog?
A. Yes, dogs are welcome to participate in the 2k Dog Walk. They will receive a special event kerchief.
If you do not have a dog, or if your dog is unable to participate, a limited number of dogs will be available at the Rent-A-Dog Booth.
Q. Is the event limited to Quail Creek residents only?
A. No! The Quail Creek Run is open to everyone. Feel free to invite friends and family members to participate. We are expecting members from the local running/walking groups as well as participants from all age groups. All abilities are welcome!
Q. I have heard that there are wonderful raffle prizes! Do I have to register for the race to get a raffle ticket?
A. Everyone over 19 who registers receives one raffle ticket. Additional tickets are available for $5 for 6 tickets, $10 for 12 tickets, and $20 for 24 tickets. You do not need to register to buy raffle tickets.

Q. Will you have refreshments after the Run?
A. Definitely! Anyone who particiaptes will need some refueling when finished. We’ll have a variety of food and drink after the run/walk. There will be water bowls for the dogs, too.

Q. Do you take credit/debit cards?
A. Visa, MasterCard, and American Express accepted for active.com online registration; cash and checks for in-person and mail-in registrations.
Q. Is there a registration deadline?
A. The deadline for $20 registration is February 24. However, you can still enter on the day of the race ($25).
Q. Is online registration legitimate?
A. Absolutely. In fact, we prefer that you register online if at all possible. In order to register online, you need to use a credit/debit card or have an Active.com account; it is a very easy and secure method.
Q. Where/When is Packet Pickup?
A. Saturday morning (February 24) before the races begin at the clubhouse.
